100 Years Since British Expeditionary Force Sent Overseas

It is one hundred years to the day since the British Expeditionary Force left England for France.

It was also the first time Britain sent military air power overseas.

The Royal Flying Corps lost thousands of men in the First World War and today a special ceremony took place in France at the airfield where they first landed.
