Air Force Cross For Brave Pilot

A Royal Navy pilot who crash-landed an historic fighter plane after its engine failed at an air show has been awarded the Air Force Cross.

Lieutenant Commander Chris Gotke brought the Hawker Sea Fury down safely, avoiding a crash as thousands of spectators looked on at RNAS Culdrose last summer.
 
Several other servicemen and women have also been recognised for their bravery and contributions including Air Marshal Sir Baz North.
