British Tornados Strike At The Heart Of IS Territory In Syria

The first British air strikes have been carried out over Syria.

Four Tornados set off from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus immediately after last night's Commons vote to approve increased military action against so called Islamic State.

MPs voted by 397 to 223 in favour of extending strikes to target IS in Syria as well as Iraq.
