Daring Spitfire Pilot's Incredible Bravery Remembered
Seventy years ago a daring Spitfire Pilot saved hundreds of lives by intercepting a German V1 flying bomb over Sussex. He used the wing of his aircraft to steer the rocket away from the town of Uckfield. Sadly the pilot was killed as the bomb exploded in mid air.
A new memorial to him has been unveiled in the town he helped protect.
