Joint Warrior: The Ultimate War Game

RAF Lossiemouth has been given a little taster of it's future this week with US Navy Boeing P-8 Poseidon aircraft visiting the base.

They are some of the 40 aircraft currently on Joint Warrior – one of the largest tri-service exercises in Europe.

In total 3,400 personnel, both regular and reservist take part in Exercise Joint Warrior and this year there are air crews from the US, Canada, Turkey, Norway and France among others.

RAF Lossiemouth is growing in size and importance in Scotland and exercises like this do much to help them prepare for future air operations.

Ali Gibson has this exclusive report from the base.
