Man Guilty Of Endangering RAF Jets

A 66-year-old man has been found guilty of shining powerful lights at RAF jets.
John Arthur Jones caused dangerous distractions to pilots flying over his house in Bodffordd, Anglesey.
They were training in Hawk jets flying out of RAF Mona.
He had denied all 13 charges of endangering aircraft between November 2013 and September 2014 but the jury found him guilty on all counts.
Mold Crown Court was told undercover police officers had been detailed to investigate Jones and that he had a grievance against the RAF and had previously considered legal action.
He will be sentenced in August.
