Rain Fails To Stop Play At The First Airshow Of Summer

The first airshow of the summer season has taken place in Oxfordshire - but proceedings were somewhat marred by some all-too-familiar British summertime weather.

The former RAF Abingdon, now known as Dalton Barracks, was the venue for a slightly soggy Abingdon Air and Country Show.

It wasn't all bad - civilian and military parachutists managed to dodge the downpour for long enough to successfully carry out their mixed drop display.

But airshow fans will be hoping things stay a little drier at the rest of the summer's events.
