Royal Approval For Blind Veterans Charity Celebrating Their Centenary

A celebration has been held at Buckingham Palace for the military charity Blind Veterans UK.
 
Her Royal Highness, The Countess of Wessex, welcomed 5,000 people to the palace garden to celebrate the charity's 100th anniversary.

Blind Veterans UK provides vision impaired Armed Forces and National Service veterans with the person-centred services and tailored support they need to discover life beyond sight loss.
 
Blind Veterans UK: 100 Years Of Service
 
The charity's work ranges from helping veterans relearn vital life skills and providing them with the tools they need to be independent in their own homes, to offering new learning, training and recreation opportunities and providing long-term nursing, residential and respite care.
