Tornados to Help Find Nigeria's Abducted Schoolgirls

The Station Commander at RAF Marham has confirmed to British Forces News/Forces TV that Tornado aircraft from his base are preparing to deploy to Nigeria.

The Ministry of Defence had already said it was considering offering the jets to fly surveillance sorties to help in the international hunt for the schoolgirls abducted by Islamic militants of Boko Haram.

If the mission goes ahead, it means Britain's only front line Tornado base will be supplying three simultaneous missions overseas. Geoff Meade reports.
