Allies Prepare For 'Joint Warrior' In Scotland

The Clyde, the home of Scottish shipbuilding, has been pretty busy recently.

There are currently eight different ships docked in Glasgow from the same number of nations, which together form NATO Standing Maritime Group One.

Crews from as far afield as Spain, Finland, and even Canada were welcomed into King George V dock.

The ships will be playing a key role in Exercise Joint Warrior

Exercise Joint Warrior will see the crews facing real-time scenarios, and so logistics must be spot on.

It will run for the next two weeks in and around the Scottish coast, and the navy crews will cover everything from counter-piracy to mine counter-measures and anti-submarine warfare, keeping them ready for operations around the world.
