Choir On Plane Sings Tribute To Fallen Soldier
A woman has captured the moment a high school choir sang as the remains of a World War II veteran were returned home.

Diane Hollifield Cupp posted the tribute on Facebook after filming it on the aircraft that had travelled from Germany to Atlanta last week.

The members of the Iowa Ambassadors of Music choir sang ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic’ after the pilot announced a uniformed US Army private was escorting the veteran's remains from the plane.

Passengers turned to watch the performance and gave the choir a round of applause when they had finished.

Diane wrote:

“On our flight from Germany there was an Army private in uniform that so happened to be escorting the remains of a WW11 Soldier back home to Houston.

“The pilot announced he would be exiting the plane first - as he got up to leave there was a group of young people who had been on tour in Europe, all of a sudden they broke out singing Glory Hallelujah.”
"Listen how Beautiful!! Will bring a tear to your eye.”
In an interview with Channel 2 Action News in Atlanta, she said:
“It was absolutely beautiful, to see the respect that these kids had, I just had to capture it. It was an awesome treat for me and something I will never forget.”
So far the video has been viewed more than 200,000 times.
