Corrie McKeague Search: Police Identify People Seen On CCTV
Three of the five people shown on CCTV in Bury St Edmunds on the night RAF airman Corrie McKeague disappeared have now been identified.
It's not known whether any of those in the footage may have seen the senior aircraftman – but police want to speak to them to check any information they may have.
Suffolk police, meanwhile, have released images of the two people they are still trying to trace.
Officers added that they have positive lines of enquiry to follow up for the other people.
It comes as the serviceman's mother, Nicola Urquhart, posted on Facebook to say human remains detection dogs - which are trained to smell death - are being used in the search of the town.
"Quite a few people have been asking about dogs being used in the town centre. It's with mixed emotions that I can let you know the police have authorised SULSAR to use cadaver dogs in specific areas... I will update you once this has been completed."
Suffolk Police has told Forces TV, however, that the dogs belong to the Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue charity (SULSAR), which searches for vulnerable missing people.
Police sources added that they did not authorise the search, as they wouldn't have had to, and that it wasn't being conducted due to specific police information or at the request of the police, although they have used dogs in the past.
24-year-old Corrie McKeague has not been seen since a night out in Bury St Edmunds on September 24.
