European Commission Chief Calls for EU Army
The European Commission chief has called for a European Union army to defend against Russian aggression.
Jean-Claude Juncker said a joint force would help the EU persuade Russia it was serious about defending its values.
The former Prime Minister of Luxembourg also said the army would help create a common foreign and security policy for the continent.
The British government has reportedly rejected his proposal, saying there's "no prospect" of the UK agreeing to it.
David Cameron has blocked moves to create an EU-controlled military force in the past.
