It's worth more than the movie and music industries combined so when the gaming world's developers, publishers and manufacturers descend on LA it's worth paying attention to what's going on.

'Black Ops III' is set in the near future where man and machine are fused together to form the ultimate soldiers. Humans with cybernetic implants and robotic limbs fighting their way through an ultra-violent 2065.
Metal Gear Solid's latest offering 'The Phantom Pain' is also set to dominate the market. The original game alone sold more than six million copies.
Set in 1984 it follows a mercenary as he seeks revenge in a Soviet-occupied Afghanistan. If the somewhat creepy trailer is anything to go by this one certainly isn't suitable for children.
Deus Ex, voted the best ever game for the PC, is also making a return. 'Mankind Divided' set in a 2029 society rife with terrorists and increasingly divided by the cybernetic augmentation of the human race.. cheery stuff.
Unveiled in April after an early leak there is as yet no official release date - that may come this week at E3.
