Libyan Fighters Could Be Treated At British Hospitals
Libyan fighters who have been injured in battle with Daesh are to be given treatment in British hospitals, according to reports.

The Daily Telegraph says the UK government is in talks with their Libyan counterparts to offer the militia emergency beds at a British military base in Cyprus.

The injured fighters could receive specialist care at the hospital.

The only other country to have airlifted wounded militiamen is Italy, which took 14 to a military hospital in Rome earlier this month.

The second in command of Tripoli’s newly formed unity government, Ahmed Maiteeq, said:
“We would like to see more of our friends and allies in Europe offering help. Italy is already doing so, and we would like other nations to do the same thing."
A Ministry of Defence spokesperson, meanwhile, said:
"The UK is committed to working with international partners on how best to support the new Libyan Government of National Accord. No decisions have been made and it is too early to say what this support will look like."
