Long Lost Avro Anson Discovered After 71 Years

The British families of a World War Two aircrew who were missing, presumed dead, say they are relieved they have finally been able to lay their bodies to rest.

The wreck of their Avro Anson Mk. 1 lay undiscovered in a Canadian forest for 71 years. 
 
The aircraft disappeared without trace in October, 1942, taking the lives of her four-man crew: RCAF Sgt. William Baird and RAF Pilot Officer Charles Fox, Pilot Officer Anthony Lawrence, and Sgt. Robert Luckock.
 
Now a new documentary reveals the mission to recover the remains and give the men a military burial.
