Celebrating the 40th birthday of the Air Force's premier catering outfit the chef became an brief member of No.3 Mobile Catering Squadron at Raf Wittering.

Reservist trainee chef Philip Seagar was one of those lucky enough to take part in the masterclass, "It was great, she was really friendly and it's good to see that they have real cooks on MasterChef that know what they're doing."

In return Natalie praised the Squadron's ability "I can't believe the quality of the food they can cook from so few rations." Before adding "They can serve up to 1000 people in an hour? I remember we served 200 in an hour on MasterChef and it was really heavy going."

A view backed by the Commanding Officer of 3 Mobile Catering Squadron Roy Brunning who commented "When RAF personnel are far from home, and working very hard, the importance of nourishing and tasty food is clear.

"Good food is a language common to everyone and 3 Mobile Catering Squadron is fluent, no matter where in the world they are."
