Military Deployed Across Capital After Terror Attacks

Reports: Several Feared Dead In Paris Shooting
French military forces have been deployed across Paris after President Francois Hollande declared a State of Emergency.

A massive security operation and investigation is underway after six co-ordinated terror attacks tore through the French capital.

Security has also been increased at the country's borders restricting free-travel.

Taking to Twitter the British Prime Minister David Cameron has expressed his shock at the events and offered whatever help Britain can. Government COBRA meetings, chaired by the PM are also being held.

129 people are now known to have died in the series of mass shootings and suicide bombings. Eight of those responsible have been killed, seven of them suicide bombers.

The biggest loss of life, with 89 people killed, was at a music venue where a large number of concert goers had been taken hostage by three attackers. A raid by elite French commandos was unable to save all those held after the gunmen detonated a number of explosive devices.

Three further blasts occurred near the national Stade de France as France played Germany in a football friendly. President Hollande was at the match but was rushed to the safety of the Interior Ministry after explosions at the stadium's entrance and a nearby fast-food restaurant.

In the US, increased security in cities such as New York has been introduced with extra police officers deployed, although the Department of Homeland Security say they've received no specific or credible threats.
