No Competition? US & UK Artillerymen Test Their Skills

Earlier this year, the 82nd Airborne Divison and 7 PARA, Royal Horse Artillery conducted a joint interoperable artillery live fire to establish the option to develop combined tactics, techniques and procedures.

Operation Pegasus Cypher was one of the first joint artillery exercises of its kind designed to integrate both nations’ communication radio systems.

The video above shows paratroopers from both sides of the Atlantic training, working and (occasionally) un-winding together during a memorable year working together.

In the first of many potential joint UK & US operations,  2015 also marked the year of the largest multi-national airborne training exercise Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

The Combined Joint Operational Access Exercise, or CJOAX, focused on enhancing interoperability between the two nations' militaries, as well as on developing their roles as their nation's go-to force for immediate response.
