North Korean Missile 'Explodes' Seconds After Lift-Off

A powerful North Korean missile has reportedly exploded just seconds after lift-off.
South Korea’s defence ministry said it was likely to be a second attempt at launching a new mid-range missile which could be capable of reaching US military bases in Asia and the Pacific in the future.
Earlier this month, a test-launch of the Musudan intermediate-range ballistic missile failed on the birthday of the country’s founding leader Kim Il-Sung.

The South’s Yonhap News Agency said the missile was not detected by military radar because it didn’t fly high enough but was spotted by a US satellite.
On Saturday, Kim Jong-Un's regime tested a submarine-launched ballistic missile which travelled about 18 miles.

The missile launches and military technology tests come ahead of a major ruling party meeting next week in Pyongyang.
The North has expressed anger over annual South Korean-US military drills that it calls a rehearsal for an invasion.
