Powerful Exhibition Depicts Women At War

In the dying days of the Third Reich, with Hitler cowering inside his Berlin bunker, the wartime photographer Lee Miller took advantage of an abandoned apartment to take a long-overdue bath.

However, this was no ordinary bath and the extraordinary story behind it is one of many told by a new exhibition of her work at the Imperial War Museum.

Forces TV spoke to its curator of photography Hilary Roberts via webcam who explained the now famous picture (above).

"Lee Miller - A Woman's War" is on at the Imperial War Museum from tomorrow until the 24th April next year.

The exhibition at the will feature 150 of her photographs & will depict women’s experience of the Second World War.
