Robohop: Hi-Tech Military Fitness

An ingenious combination of wearable tech could give military commanders a whole new way to assess the fitness of their troops.

Live biometrics and video feeds mean trainers and assessors know exactly how good their men and women are, and what help and advice they need.

For example, commanders can use tracking devices to break up a run into different zones.

Sensors embedded in a soldier's clothing could then relay information back and allow that individual's pace to be assessed.

Google Glasses could also be utilised to determine how well a soldier might be performing a search or reconnaissance activity.

Forces TV's Hannah King went to try out some of the new kit.
