UN "Moved to Tears by Footage of Children Killed in Syria Gas Attack"
A warning - the above video contains some distressing images.
The UN security council has been moved to tears after being shown video evidence of an apparent chlorine gas attack in Syria which killed three children.
The council were shown images from last month of doctors unsuccessfully trying to revive the young victims.
The attack occurred in the province of Idlib, with activists accusing the Syrian government of using the bombs against its own people - claims which were denied by the military.
Similar chlorine bombs have been used by Islamic State in the past few months in attacks against Iraq.
The US ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, said only President Bashar al-Assad's government has the helicopters used to drop barrel bombs filled with the toxic chemical.
Forces TV's Paula Middlehurst spoke to Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, former Commanding Officer of the UK's Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Regiment, and asked him about the effects this type of weapon can have.
