Army Sports Awards: Stars Prepare For Ceremony
The Army will host their annual sports awards on Thursday 21 November and the celebrations will be streamed LIVE on the Forces News Facebook page and here on Forces Network.
The ceremony will be held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst with six different award winners to be revealed.
The Army Sports Control Board has already announced the victors of two categories.
The women’s cross country & road race team have taken the Team of the Year award after a successful year.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Bromley Gardner will be given a Lifetime Achievement award for his services to Army sports.

Four awards will be revealed on the night - the nominees are:
Sportsman of the Year
Corporal Simon Horsfield – Sailing
Lance Sergeant Natty Ngwenya – Boxing
Corporal Leon Hinds – Martial Arts (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu)
Sportswoman of the Year
Lance Corporal Dee Bolakoro – Netball
Major Karen Owen – Martial Arts (Karate)
Corporal Dani Hodgkinson – Athletics
Rising Star of the Year
Private Jessie Lutwyche – Athletics
Captain Katrina Rye – Triathlon
Officer Cadet Kerenza Bryson – Pentathlon
Sports Official of the Year
Warrant Officer Class 2 Nikki Mead - Volleyball
Captain Nikki O’Donnell – Rugby Union
Lietenant Colonel Nav Naivalurua – Rugby League
