Watch: Royal Marines boxers prepare for Corps championships in Lympstone.

Boxers from the Royal Marines have been preparing for their Corps championships at the Commando Training Centre in Lympstone.

The 2023 championships will be broadcast live on the Forces News YouTube channel on Thursday with a 7:30pm BST start time scheduled.

The action will feature the best boxers in the Royal Marines and could include Lance Corporal George Blake who is making his first appearance at the competition.

"I can't lie. Coming up the gates yesterday, the nerves did kick in," said LCpl Blake.

"On Thursday, everyone will be here and it'll be a good craic."

Meanwhile, Marine Sacha Zachariades is looking to use his experience from last year to push on in the finals.

"Boxing is quite a unique one," said the 45 Commando Royal Marines boxer.

"You have to have that quite confidence in yourself. You have to tread the line between confidence and being cocky."
