
British Army men's volleyball through to National Shield semi-finals for first time ever

The British Army men's volleyball team are through to the semi-finals of the National Shield for the first time ever.
A terrific performance in Merseyside saw the Army sweep Liverpool in a 3-0 score to book their place in the final four.
It's uncharted territory for the military team who have eyes on a spot in April's final.

Their performance against Liverpool had all the characteristics that this Army side have perfected as they delivered a classy, but ruthless showing.
Both of the first two sets were comfortable 25-19 scores, but the third set saw Liverpool fight for their tournament place.
They pushed the Army all the way, but the military team held their nerve to seal a 29-27 set and a sweep in the result.
Their semi-final match against a yet-to-be-decided opponent will be played on the weekend of 21 March, with Darkstar Derbyshire, Legends Volleyball Oldham and Brazukas joining the Army in the final four.
