British Army win third successive Crown Services volleyball title
The British Army men’s volleyball team have won the Crown Services Volleyball Championship for an unprecedented third successive time after beating the British Police in the final in Bournemouth.
The Army secured their hat-trick win after beating the Police in three straight sets by 26-24, 25-20 and 26-24.
This win adds to the Army’s impressive run at the Crown Services, where they also won the title in 2022 and 2023.
The tournament sees teams from the British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Prison Service, Fire Service and the Police Service battle in a round-robin style competition.
In the early stages of the tournament, the Army men's match against the Royal Navy also served as their final Inter Service match to decide the men's title, which the Army went on to take the win by 25-23, 25-23 and they also took on the RAF men, known as the Harriers, where they narrowly beat them 24-26, 25-21.
Champions again.
