Army's Ollie Cross hits century as UK Armed Forces impress in comfortable victories

A brilliant century of runs from the British Army's Ollie Cross was the highlight from the UK Armed Forces' pair of 50-over victories this week.
Cross was in the mood for runs against the Duke of Norfolk XI at Arundel Cricket Club as he hit 19 boundaries to deliver 117 runs from just 86 deliveries.
It helped UKAF to set a commanding target of 270-9 from their innings and, with the ball, Denson Narayan was the star as his four wickets limited the home team to just 151, meaning UKAF won by 119 runs.

That victory gave UKAF important momentum, which they took into their match against The ACE Programme at Middleton-on-Sea.
Once again, UKAF were in to bat first and set an imposing total with the Army's Denzel James (78no) and RAF opener Tom Shorthouse (69), both delivering half-centuries as the military team smashed in 269 runs for just nine wickets lost in their 50 overs.
Narayan was still hunting for wickets too, and his four-wicket haul stopped The ACE Programme from getting near the target as they were all out for 127 with 19.2 overs to spare, meaning UKAF won by 142 runs.
As it stands, the victories have brought an end to UKAF's summer with no more men's matches scheduled.
