Army beat Navy as Inter Services football season concludes

The British Army have ended the 2022 Inter Services football season with a win against the Royal Navy in Yeovil.

The men in red took the lead when Sam Atkinson's free-kick went all the way in from a tight angle.

Jamie Vincent levelled for the Navy with a tidy finish, but Scott McCarthy's late first-half goal was enough to seal a 2-1 Army win.

The RAF had already been crowned Inter Services champions after wins over the Navy in Shrewsbury and the Army in Aldershot.

In the final game of the women's competition, the Navy impressed in their victory over the Army in Portsmouth.
