Army set to host the RAF as the U23 Inter Services title race remains in full swing

The British Army are set to host the Royal Air Force at the Aldershot Military Stadium this coming Wednesday in what will be the second game of the 2023 Under-23 Inter Services.
The RAF come into this fixture a week after they were frustrated by the Royal Navy's 10-man team as neither side could break the deadlock, resulting in a 0-0 draw in their first round.
As a result, the title race is still in full swing as the Army and the RAF look to stake their claim in what could prove to be a crucial match for both sides.
The Army and the RAF's clash at last year's Inter Services was played after the title was decided in controversy, after the Army had fielded an ineligible player during their game with the Navy and were consequently deducted three points, and an RAF win against the Army meant the Navy took the Inter Services title.
This year, the Army will look to put the wrongs of last year to right, and a win against the RAF on Wednesday would see them head into their final game with the Navy with the advantage, where they will have a chance to win the Inter Services.
The RAF last won the U23s Inter Services title in 2020, when they thrashed the Navy in a 4-0 victory.
A win for the RAF against the Army on Wednesday will keep their title hopes alive, and the airmen would have to wait until the Army and the Navy play in Portsmouth on 22 February to see which team takes the Inter Services crown.
The Army v RAF game will be shown LIVE on Forces News YouTube channel and on BFBS TV for service personnel. Find out more about how you can watch here.
