An Army veteran who had his leg amputated after being shot seven times in a horrific live-fire training accident in Canada has helped Chelsea win their first-ever FA Amputee Cup.

Mark Smith is a former 1st Battalion Grenadier Guard who transformed himself from a soldier who was looking forward to his second tour of Afghanistan to being crowned Britain's Strongest Disabled Man twice, as well as being capped twice by England's National amputee football team.

Now, he's added FA Amputee Cup winner to his list of accomplishments after Chelsea beat Everton 2-0 in the final at St George's Park.

On Instagram, the 2016 and 2017 Britain's Strongest Disabled Man said: "My proudest moment on a football pitch, representing Chelsea in a Cup Final on television at St George's Park!

"Had a lump in my throat going up to collect my medal. So proud to represent Chelsea."
