Inter Services Title Up For Grabs After Army Beat Navy
The Royal Navy's chances of retaining their under 23s Inter Services football title took a hit as they lost 2-1 to the British Army at HMS Temaraire.
The Army raced into a two-goal lead late in the second half, before the hosts grabbed a consolation effort.
Chances were squandered at both ends in the match - Navy man Robert Walton came closest to breaking the deadlock when he missed a one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
It was hard to split the two teams in the first half which ended goalless.
Well into the second half, the Army’s first goal came from a penalty, awarded for a tackle on Scott Hynd.

Nathan Donnachie stepped up to the spot finishing tidily as Navy keeper Gregor Brown was sent the wrong way.
With momentum on their side, the Army capitalised two minutes later with Liam Silver putting it in the back of the net after a scramble in front of goal.
The Navy, however, refused to crumble keeping on the pressure till they were rewarded with a goal of their own, David Parker, feeding Callum Stark six yards out.
All eyes are now on the final match between the RAF and the Navy in Oxford next week, when the title could be decided.
