7 Regiment RLC will be playing in the 2020 Army Major Units Cup final and they will have international experience on the field.

A 3-0 win over 8 Battalion REME was an impressive result, but it was the performance of their goalkeeper which caught the eye.

A terrific triple save in the first half, and a last-minute penalty stop, led 7 RLC to victory in the semi-final.

But who is this impressive shot-stopper?

Kevan Henry was born in Georgetown, St Vincent and the Grenadines on 25 April 1995.

He has played five times for his national team while serving in the British Army, including keeping a clean sheet against French Guiana in a CONCACAF Nations League Qualifier in 2018.

The 3-1 win over 8 Battalion was helped by Sean Wooley winning a first half penalty.

Following the semi-final win over 8 Battalion REME, Kevan's manager, Carl Blackburn, had some high praise for the 25-year-old.

"He's only been with us for three or four months and 100%, he'll be getting a shout down at corps level," he said.

"He’s got five international caps

"He’s a commonwealth soldier that’s just come over.

"As you saw in the first half, he pulled off three outstanding saves, as well as what he did in the quarter-final where he pulled off another world class save."
