Watch: RAF women kick off defence of Inter Services title with victory against hard-working British Army

Lincoln City's Lucy Farrow scored twice as the RAF won the opening match of the 2024 Inter Services championships.

The attacker fired the Air Force into the lead against the British Army in the 12th minute with a well-taken volley.

In the second half, a counter-attack allowed Farrow to strike at goal and beat Army goalkeeper Daisy Burnfield for the second time.

The Army will look at early missed chances from Libby Dixon as their opportunity to have got something from a contest with the reigning champions.

They will head to Havant next week for a clash against the Royal Navy which you can watch live on the Forces News YouTube channel.

In the final moments of the Army v RAF clash, experienced Air Force defender Rachael Howes provided an emotional moment as she was subbed on just weeks after finding out she's been diagnosed with cancer.
