Heartbreak for RAF player Liam Sanford and Team GB as Olympic hockey dream ends in shootout

Great Britain's men's hockey team, which includes RAF player AS1 Liam Sanford, are out of the Olympics after losing to India in a shootout in the quarterfinals.
The British team had drawn India 1-1 after Lee Morton drew the scoreboard level before half-time, but weren't able to take their chance when they had a man advantage in the second half.
Britain had looked favourites when Amit Rohidas was sent off early in the second quarter, a rarity in top-level hockey, for catching Will Calnan in the face with his stick.

The Indian team prevailed in the shootout with a 4-2 win as GB couldn't find their way past Indian goalkeeper P.R. Sreejesh, who is highly regarded as the world's best goalkeeper in field hockey.
Their quarter-final loss is a repeat of their performance at the last Olympics in Tokyo, where they also lost to India.
