'It's a freakshow': Army soldiers tackle Midlands Forces Strongman event

Some incredible examples of strength were on show at Gamecock Barracks, Nuneaton, for the Midlands Forces Strongman event and you can see it in our featured video above.

As the sport continues to grow in the military, more events are being held in the hopes that people will give it a go for the first time.

Challenges such as the log press, and pulling a vehicle across a parade square with just a harness, made up part of the competition.

The current plan is to host a number of events across the country with locations in the southwest and Scotland targeted.

In 2024, the first-ever national Forces Strongman competition is scheduled with an Inter Services-style battle expected.
