HMS Prince of Wales has restocked her ammunition in Norway during her time operating in the High North.

The 65,000-tonne aircraft carrier has been exercising off the coast of Norway with the Norwegian navy during Operation Firecrest, footage has shown.

She is being accompanied by Type 45 destroyer HMS Dauntless, as well as F-35 jets, Merlin Mk4 Commando and Mk2 anti-submarine helicopters, Wildcat helicopters and Malloy drones.

"Credible capability depends on being able to rearm, resupply and sustain forces through allied infrastructure, wherever operations demand it," Nato Allied Joint Force Command Norfolk said in a post on X.

"For Nato, interoperability means having the support and access to keep combat power available, sustained and ready to act."

More than 1,200 personnel are deployed as part of the Carrier Strike Group, working closely with allies including Norway, Denmark, and Germany.

The operation is taking place in the North Atlantic and Norwegian waters and is intended to strengthen Nato's presence, preparedness, and cooperation in the High North.
