RAF and Army snowboarders win first medals of Meribel 2026 in exciting Snowboard SBX finals
The first races of the 2026 Inter Services snow sports championships at Meribel were a thrilling Snowboard SBX event.
The men's race saw the RAF's Squadron Leader Paddy Morris take top spot on the podium as he stretched out enough of a lead to celebrate heading into the final corner.
Able Seaman Simon Andrews (Royal Navy) finished second, with Corporal Kazim Jones (British Army) finishing in third.

The women's contest was a much closer race with all four competitors in the hunt heading into the final stretch, where the Army's Lance Bombardier Jordan Buckley took home her first win of the week.
Corporal Natalie Fields from the RAF finished as runner-up, while the Navy's Leading Hand Jasmine Maunder completed the podium in third.
Both men's and women's podiums saw all three services featured, which is a sign that the Snowboard events will be hard to call this year.
