UK Armed Forces retain the President's Cup

The UK Armed Forces men's rugby league team have won the 2022 President's Cup.

Wins over the Great Britain Police and Great Britain Teachers teams had all but sealed the trophy for UKAF before their final match.

They couldn't complete a clean sweep of wins though as they were beaten by England Universities.

A 26-14 result meant the students couldn't win the title due to points difference.

This is the second consecutive UKAF President's Cup victory.

"It's probably the toughest President's Cup I've played in," said UKAF captain, Staff Sergeant Jordan Kerman.

"It was a frustrating game. We think we were the better team but a few things didn't go our way.

"We've got the outcome that we wanted."
