The Royal Navy men's rugby union team have beaten Devonport Services in their final warm-up match before the 2024 Inter Service championships.

A comfortable 36-14 victory in Plymouth saw the Navy gain valuable momentum ahead of taking on the RAF on 20 April live on the Forces News YouTube channel.

Tries from Matt Hall, Lewis Roxby, Jake Hanley, Kieran Dobson and Jay Toogood helped the Navy to the win as Hanley and Jordan Gott both scored points with the boot.

The win means the Navy have back-to-back victories to take into the championships after beating the British Police in convincing fashion in Portsmouth.

The defence of their title sees them head to Plymouth for a match against the RAF first up on 20 April before their annual showdown with the British Army at Twickenham Stadium on 4 May.

You can watch all men's and women's matches at the 2024 Inter Service championship live on the Forces News YouTube channel â€“ find out more here.
