Taking the strain: Army Ladies tug of war team target international success

The British Army Ladies tug of war team will represent England at two major upcoming tournaments.
Fresh from winning three silver medals at the National Tug of War Championships, the team will travel to Cork for the British and Irish Championships.
Gold medal winners in 2024 and runners-up 12 months ago, the Army will look to return to winning ways this year in the women's 560kg event. The tournament runs from 8-9 August.
