Top RAF squash players serve up an exciting end to annual championships

The Royal Air Force's top squash players served up an exciting finish to the recent RAF Squash Championships, which took place at Wolverhampton Lawn Tennis & Squash Club.
Over 40 entrants competed across four categories, while the Open category bore witness to an exciting finale between Paul Warner and Craig Stephens.
Stephens earned his place in the final by beating the RAF's number two seed Oscar Hill in the semi-final. However, he had no answer to the experience of Paul Warner who claimed his eleventh RAF Open title.
The ladies' final drew much intrigue with Claire Graham and Sarah Wilkie facing each other for the very first time in their careers.
After a highly competitive final, Graham took a 3-0 victory over Wilkie to win the title that she had won previously.
Wilkie came close to winning a game on several occasions – thus the scoreline not accurately reflecting the sheer competitiveness of this final.

The Masters' final was taken all the way to the fifth game, with veteran player Phil Rea beating his old teammate Dave Robinson by 3-2.
The under-25s final was dominated by Owen O'Hara, who retained the title he won last year against George Hine.
O'Hara took a resounding 3-0 win to clinch the under-25s title – proving why he’s now the back-to-back under-25s champion.
The RAF will compete at the Inter Services Championships on 26-27 March.
