A decommissioned Royal Navy Sea Harrier FA2, serial number ZH798, has gone on the market, available to purchase from military aircraft restorer Jet Art Aviation.

This classic British aircraft, renowned for its vertical take-off and landing capabilities, comes with a fully operational Rolls-Royce Pegasus Mk 106 engine.

Although no longer airworthy, the Sea Harrier remains electrically and hydraulically live, standing as an ideal vintage acquisition.

Built in 1996, ZH798 was one of the last Sea Harriers to join the Royal Navy fleet and served primarily on Invincible-class aircraft carriers like HMS Illustrious.

After its last flight in 2005, it was repurposed as a training aid on the 'Dummy Deck' at the Royal Navy School of Flight Deck Operations.

In 2020, the aircraft was sold through a competitive Ministry of Defence tender, remarkably complete and well-preserved.

Stored safely in a hangar, this decommissioned jump jet has had its radar and weapon systems removed but offers a unique investment opportunity as a genuine piece of military history.

Prospective buyers may enquire for pricing details. This former warbird presents a rare chance to own an iconic chapter of British aviation.

Developed in the late 1960s and first flown in 1978, the Sea Harrier became a powerful symbol of British engineering ingenuity and played a prominent role in the Falklands War.

In the early 1990s, the Sea Harrier fleet received significant upgrades, resulting in the FA2 variant.

However, the Sea Harrier's career ended in 2006, its decommissioning marking the end of a distinguished era in British naval aviation.

Many Sea Harriers were preserved as museum exhibits, while a few, like ZH798, have become sought-after collector's items.
