30th birthday for RAF 'cheese grater' radar as it watches Ukraine war missile threats

The RAF's ballistic missile early warning radar in Yorkshire has celebrated its 30th birthday as it closely watches threats from the Ukraine war.

RAF Fylingdales says that in the past six weeks alone, it has detected more ballistic weapons than in the entire previous year.

The station has been monitoring the Ukraine crisis since Russia launched its attack and invaded on 24 February.
