Military duo awarded Royal honours at Windsor Castle

Two British Armed Forces veterans have been awarded royal honours in a star-studded ceremony at Windsor Castle that included naturalist Sir David Attenborough.

Former Paratrooper Paralympian Jaco van Gass was awarded an MBE for his services to cycling.

Mountaineer and former Gurkha Nims Dai, who summited the 14 highest mountains in the world in less than six months, was awarded an MBE for acts of heroism at high altitude - rescuing a stranded climber just below the summit of Mount Everest and fixing climbing ropes for the Gurkha Everest event.
