In pictures: HNoMS Roald Amundsen returns to Norway after CSG25 deployment

The Norwegian frigate HNoMS Roald Amundsen has been welcomed back to Norway at Haakonsvern following her eight-month deployment on Operation Highmast. 

Friends, families, and loved ones attended the event, where personnel were presented with medals for their service during the deployment. 

The Fridtjof Nansen-class frigate was part of Carrier Strike Group 25 as it sailed to the Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean, and the Indo-Pacific.

During the eight months, she travelled more than 50,000 nautical miles, trained with 13 different nations and visited eight different countries. 

HNoMS Roald Amundsen returned to Portsmouth in early December before heading back to Norway.
