Falklands: Veteran recalls sinking of HMS Coventry 40 years on

Forty years ago, HMS Coventry was attacked by Argentinian jets during the Falklands conflict.

As a result, 19 died – with enemy jets also striking SS Atlantic Conveyor on the same day.

Chris Howe was a 25-year-old Petty Officer on HMS Coventry and was badly burned in the attack.

He spoke to Forces News about that traumatic day aboard the Royal Navy destroyer.
