Commemorative Stone Unveiled to Commonwealth VC Recipients from WWI

David Cameron was among those present when a commemorative stone was unveiled at the National Memorial Arboretum to the Commonwealth soldiers who earned the Victoria Cross during the First World War.

The Department for Communities and Local Government will also lay memorial stones in the birthplace of each Victoria Cross recipient to honour their bravery and provide a lasting legacy within the communities of local-born heroes.
