DIY SOS: Work Begins On "Veterans Village"
Work has started on a ground-breaking new “Veterans Village” in Greater Manchester.
Forces charities Walking with the Wounded and Haig Housing are refurbishing two streets in East Manchester, which will be predominantly home to ex-forces personnel.
The project is getting a little help from the BBC's DIY SOS strand, who are set to film an episode there in September, while they overhaul five of the houses.
