UK's First 'Veterans Village' Planned in Manchester

A ground-breaking new “Veterans Village” is being planned for the North West of England.

Manchester City Council will be working alongside the charity 'Walking with the Wounded' to refurbish and convert 25 empty homes in the east of the city for use by Armed Forces veterans.

The scheme will cost around £400,000 and is the first of its kind in Britain.
